Derk Roelofsen (1997, The Netherlands) is an artist, living and working in Berlin. He is working with various media with an interest in technology, architecture and internet cultures.
Over the past three years, I have worked with various artists in the realm of sculpture, most notably with Anna Uddenberg. In this role, I assumed a leading technical position, overseeing all aspects of the project from conceptualization to final production and machining.
In my practice, I'm interested in the impact of emerging technologies on human perception and experience. Through works like 'Corp Protocol (2023)', a sculpture using digital manufacturing, I examine the relationship between physical and digital realities, raising questions about our reliance on artificial intelligence and its influence on the human body and perception.
